A Nautical Expedition to the Open Sea

Hi Everyone

From the moment I set eye on these new products - the stamp set - The Open Sea and the DSP Nautical Expedition along with the introduction of Baker's Twine to Stampin Up I got very excited and hoped that our section of the world- Aust/NZ would be granted these products and so we did♥

My collection of projects using DSP- Nautical Expedition and Stamp set - The Open Sea
(Scrapbook layouts are my own designs but cards are CASES from other talented SU Demos)

For those who have been followers of my blog for a while you will know that I have been working of some family history and scrapbooking them accordingly. These papers and stamp set really lend themselves to those topics especially - Shipping Lists, immigration topics and male featured projects,
in a grown up sophisticated style!

Here is a layout I did of my great great grandparents journey from Scotland to Australia in 1948 on the ship Artemisia, which boarded at London, England, in July of the same year.

Artemisia
I also took the opportunity to scrap a photo I took of my hubby, one of our son's and grandson earlier in the year- 3 generations! So these papers also lend themselves to current topics, great male designs.
The sketch for the layout is a Becky Fleck sketch from March PageMaps.

You Mean the World To Me
The title is a stamp from the 2 pack stamp set - Word Play- 120651
Following are some close up detail of the layout, you can also see some Early Espresso/white bakers twine used as an embellishment texture.

Following on are some cards that I have admired of other Stampin Up demos from around the world and couldn't see any reason to change the designs!

This card is a case from Alisha Turner

This card is a case from Sage Kimble of the blog- Stamping Madly.

This card again a case found on the Frantic Stampers blog.

This above card is a case from Cindy Major.

This above card is a case from Kerry Bunting, an Australian SU demo whose work I greatly admire ♥

So hopefully if you've come upon this blog you have been inspired by both myself and those who have influenced myself likewise. Thankyou to all those who take time to say hello too ♥
So don't miss out- Aust/NZ - we only have 2 wks left to be able to order this products from the current Summer Mini Catalogue.

Till next time,

   Enjoy - Ruthy xf
