Living in a Material World

Hi Everyone

Just a little post of share here. Last year when I came back from my first SU Convention  in Melbourne, I was so inspired and excited by the introduction of fabric to the SU array of products that it got me in the mood for returning to my roots as a sewer.
While we were still waiting for its release I used the  Bigz XL Flower Folds die to cut out some flowers from own fabric collection (after teal, purple is the next fav colour of mine) and using visofix to adhere to the fabric than ran it through the big shot with the flower die in place, I than positioned my flower shapes, layered with tulle and parts of my doillie collection and formed a design.  I than pressed them with a hot steam iron in place. At the level of my than enthusiasm I cut out more from other fabrics and did the same for other runners.

As life would have it, my holidays drew to a close and I never made it back to them (because other projects always jumped the queue) until now- I finally finished one for my sister inlaw's birthday, which is today, posted it off and hopefully she either has it or will tomorrow♥  I finished the centre of the flowers with some SU Antique brads.  Without further ado here it is :-)

Enjoy - Ruthy xf
