Canberra SU Convention Make n Takes 2012

Hi Everyone,

I always try and set myself a goal to not start a new project before I complete another- I said 'Try' I don't always succeed at that objective, hence why we have 'UFO's' as we called them in my patchwork groups- 'Unfinished Objects'!!!

I also know that if I start something like a lesson at an event and don't complete it at the event something always seems to get in the way of finding that 'rhythm' and 'mojo' to get the urge to complete it..... sound familiar??

So with another Stampin Up Event soon to happen in our 'Heartfelt Event' day and more Make n Take kits to do I thought I'd better get hopping on these and finish them :-)

Here are the end results- the advantage is that they will make nice additions to my upcoming New Catalogue Launches :-)

Here goes-    The Complete Collection

Birthday card and Matching Envelope set

                                                                    3D Flower

                                                             Gift Box with tag

Scrapbook Layout (with a few Ruthy additions and modifications LOL!

some of my 'splats' when more like blob drips, so thats initially why I first added the flower and that rolled on with some other changes

Out of interest here is what the original layout  below that comes with the kit should look like
(ps. yes it only has the tiniest bit of purple on the bottom)
so you've got options at both choices now.

Hope you enjoyed my post using DSP - Summer Smooches which will be available in Australia and NZ as from September 1st. Other product featured are the Stamps - Memorable Moments; Daydream Medallions and matching Floral Framelits.

Anyone for a little Tea?

Hi Everyone,

This gorgeous stamp set Tea Shoppe (125547- (c) )from Stampin Up first made its appearance in our last Mini Autumn/Winter catalogue, I was smitten with it straight away, so pretty and gorgeous and I'm happy to say it is one that is continuing on, which is delightful :-)

So let me share my little play with these stamps, some of my card designs are CASES and some a little play of creative adventure of my own.

I embossed these flowers with clear embossing powder and it gave them a nice glaze feel, I also embossed the tea cup in white embossing powder.

This card is a CASE from Cindy

This card above is a CASE from Natalie O'Shea

This card too is a CASE from Lana Harvey

I wanted to try this CASE from Monica Gale, because I love the criss-cross scoring and I actually stamped my cup first with colour and restamped over it with the help of the Stamp-Me-Jig tool with versamark and then embossed the tea cup with clear embossing powder. It sort of reminds me of my present kitchen tiles :-) I changed a few bits from the original case.

Anyone who has been doing some research for ideas with this stamp set is sure to have come across this gorgeous one. I tried it because it took me out of my comfort zone with stamping layers, I would have never thought to stamp each stamp in such places before this. I enjoyed the concept.
So its a CASE from here

The entire collection of play with Tea Shoppe so far :-)

Well that was a bit of fun just for starters, I'm sure to give it a good going over further as yet.

JAI Scrap #8 Buttons and Bows

Hi Everyone

JAI Scrap #8 Buttons and Bows

Another month already and its time for our monthly Scrapbooking Challenge which is to..

Just Add Buttons and Bows

isnt that easy? We want to see lots of Layouts this month so hope you give it a go.
Here is what I came up with for this challenge-
I've used the DSP- Twitterpatered, Delicate Doilies stamp set and new Blossom punch.I've also used Island Indigo Baker's Twine to sew with.Had my first go at doing some Cathedral Windows in the centre of my flowers too. It features photos I've taken of my daughter Gabriella wearing the first ever crochet pattern I've followed in making her hat, happy to say she loves it!

For instructions on how to join in and see the rest of the inspiration the JAI team has done click on the badge below

So I look forward to seeing what you all come up with this month-
