But wait ...... there's more!

Hi Everyone
What a great and busy month it has been in February firstly personally for me as we had a close friends wedding that I was photographer for but also as I write this post we are days away from our eldest daughter leaving the country for Ireland for the year and then who knows what, so exciting and emotional, rather distracting too I might add (for all the right reasons) from playing with paper of much lately.

We have 1 more month in which you can take advantage of the free gooodies to be had during SALEBRATION campaign and here is another layout (another for my mum's heritage album) to wet your mojo. I have made so many layouts and projects from this DSP- Everyday Enchanted and still there is more to go- makes a very economical trip, even more so that it comes free when you spend $100 on any other product from the main and mini catalogues- so its all good!!!

Visiting Family 1940 in Millmerran
Just a recap as to what this DSP looks like see below

Here is the link to the current SAlebration leaflet- http://www2.stampinup.com/gb/documents/20120124_SAB_en-GB.pdf
Please note none of these products can be purchased alone - they are rewarded as 1 free choice per $100 (before shipping or GST)  spent on product from the current catalogues.

I am placing an order this week so if you are interested and would like this or other product from the current catalogues or interested in a future workshop drop me a line or email me - contact details are on  the side bar

Have an awesome week,

DSP- Everyday Enchanted

Hi Everybody
Just a quick post to showcase another of the layouts I'm currently working with on these heritage photos, so loveeee these papers and Pagemaps has helped a great deal to not interupt the mojo flow.
I have been doing a bit of research at the moment of my mothers family history, thank god for google and the occasional 'find' on places like www. ancestry.com, but lets not talk about all the hours we're searching and finding nothing as well.  The other thing too is that lots of the family have passed on and even my mum and aunties are all in they're 80's so time is of the essence to glean as much as I can before the opportunity passes forever.
This is one of the vital aspects for my reasons to scrapbook in the first place, we can all have those photos but if we don't have the stories they're value is understated forever.  I have used August 2010 Pagemap (www.pagemaps.com) Without further ado' here is my latest additition.

The Baillie Women - circa 1917

So if you'd like to have a play with these papers, feel free to contact me to order.
Here's what they look like-
SAB- 2012- DSP- Everyday Enchanted

ok p.s. another addition- just finished using the same DSP- Everyday Enchanted-

Employment in the 1940-50's

So happy scrapping everyone and have a great weekend,

Everyday Enchantment with Family Heritage

Hi Everyone,

Had the pleasure of getting together today with a few friends and had an enjoyable day of crafting together- for me that was scrapbooking.
At present I am enjoying working on some of my family's heritage photos- in this case from my mother's side of the family. I recently sat down with an Aunt and she let me scan several photos from her albums. These images are so precious because my mother hasn't had a lot to show from her childhood and people didn't just snap photos as we can do these days in which various forms of photography is more accessible to the majority.
As with my mum and her her surviving relatives, they are getting on in age (82 and 84 yrs) it is even more vital to record the information that goes with these photographs before its all too late- hence the reason I scrapbook in the first instance- to preserve our family memories and heritage!
I have used sketches too from PageMaps.

All these layouts have been put together using the DSP- Everyday Enchanted from the current
SALE-A-BRATIONS leaflet- here are those papers

and those lovely brads too-

Olive- 1917
(This layout features my maternal grandmother ages 17 yrs old- I realised looking at her birth year- 1900,  that there is 100 years age difference between my grandmother and my last child- Gabriella- born 2000- both in January)

My Aunty Iris - 1946

and last but not least of all-

Captured Downtown- 1940's

Well hope you enjoyed the scrap inspiration, and if you have please say hi :-)

Have a great week and don't miss out on these lovely saleabration gifts to be had.

SALE-A-B-RATION- Enchantment!

Hi Everybody,

Well its that time of the Stampin Up year when everyone can gain a bit more product for less outlay- when you spend $100 you are entitled to a free gift from the SALE-A-BRATION mini catalogue- there is 6 free gifts to choose from and 1 gift per $100 you spend (before shipping & GST) that's aside from any other regular hostess offers, so its a real bonus and great offers too for those wishing to sign up and join my team-  if you are interested drop me a line via email or contact me per contact details.

Here is the current Salabration catalogue-
Here are some of the featured products used in my samples so far-

So what have I done with these so far.......
This selection of cards are CASES inspired by some favs of my fellow SU Demo friends- credits will be added with each selection.
This card was inspired by my friend Carolyn Lindermayer here

and again this one too, which is also inspired by example in the Sale-a-bration leaflet- here is Carolyn's example here

I stamped on the textured side of the cardstock with this one to give a "cross-stitched stitchery effect".
This card was inspired by here

and my last card so far is a case from a USA SU demo- Linda Fraser here

I find card examples of other demo's very helpful, as cards tend to do my head in rather than scrapbook layouts which I much rather prefer, so its good to share and contribute to the inspiration pool, but always appropriate to give credit too where due. So in saying that here is my scrapbook layouts-
Please excuse the terrible scan/stitch job- (makes me wonder if I do want to go back to 12 x 12 size this year)
12 Happy Birthday Wishes- double- 12" x 12" layout
this version above was scanned and stitched
and the version below is the same layout -photographed instead
(please excuse the magnetic tabs holding it to the metal display board)

another for my heritage albums- must say I still have a more liking for the smaller size layout-

Schultz Family- Albert's Line- 1945

I haven't made a dint in the product as yet, so there is sure to be much more fun to be had, so watch this space.- Here is some of the other product available in the catalogue- Please note these products cannot be brought aside from the offer and will be finalized by March 31st, so don't miss out ♥

DSP - Everyday Enchanted (Designer Series Paper), 4 stamp sets & Ribbon and Brad combo.
6 selections to choose from - 1 selection for every $100 of product purchased :-)

Special joining offers

Have an awesome weekend!

Just Add Scrapbooking # 2- Scrap the Holidays!

Hi Everyone

Its that time of the month again- the 1st Monday of the month and time for a new challenge on Just Add Ink- in particular with our monthly scrapbook challenges -

- Just Add Scrapbooking- # 2 - Scrap the Holidays!

Here is my take on this month's challenge-
Another for my family heritage album- on of my mum, Aunty and cousins. This photo would have been taken in the late 1950's. I have used some Stampin Up DSP- Spice Cake for my papers. I've also used a PageMaps sketch and layout inspired by a example in the PageMaps newsletter. (sorry don't recall the original artist)

Beach Holidays-1950's

As we venture into the 2nd month of the year no doubt for a lot of us the time for holidays is over (well in Australia anyways if you have school-aged children still) and its time for fine-tuning our week/monthly routines, but I hope you can reflect on a holiday at some time and scrap those memories by joining in this month's challenge at

Spice Chooks for Afternoon Tea

Hi Everyone,

As you'll probably get I've been having some awesome fun with these Stampin Up Designer Fabrics in particular this time- Spice Cake!

A lot of what I've created has been centred around a 'chook' theme, why- because I love chooks LOL!
And yes even though Stampin Up does focus a lot of its products on Papercraft and Stamping etc, they are also starting to incorporate more fabric and coordinating product into their catalogues. I love this because besides my love for Photography and Scrapbooking- I have always adored sewing and patchwork. I hope in time more of the Bigz dies that are available in the USA will also come to Australia, making patchwork that much easier. So without further ado here goes-

Spicy Chook Bun Warmer - Featuring Spice Cake Designer Fabric
(I used a Kwik Sew pattern - 1135 for the chook pattern)

Continuing in the chookie theme here is this scruffy little fellow
(reminds me for some reason of the movie -'Chicken Run')

and what about a little wall-hanging - Farm Fresh

Close up of the stitching design.

and with our little muffins or buns we are sure to want some tea, and we don't want it getting cold now do we- Spice Cake- Tea Cosy

( Jug stitchery design is Leanne May -Candlelight Creations- cosy pattern and quote by Ruth Clarke)

last but not least (so far- not much fabric left LOL!)

Decorative Chook
(photography is giving off yellowish tint - fabrics below give true toning)

The complete Spice Cake Designer Fabric Collection

This collection also includes coordinating large buttons and Very Vanilla velvet  ribbon and the stamp set- Spiced Paisley!

and showing all my projects using these fabrics. So it just goes to show that there is as much in Stampin Up for the sewing Enthusiast as there is for the papercrafter/stamper, sometimes we combine all three :-)

So hope you enjoyed the 'fabric' take on this wonderful collection- the product has plenty to offer the papercrafter and fabric lover all round.
